Saskatoon Transit and Access Transit Service Update
Saskatoon received approximately 25 cm of snow on November 24 and 25. Bus routes will be graded as part of the 72-hour post-snowstorm clean-up; however, regular transit routes and Access Transit are experiencing challenges on streets with deep snow accumulation.
Fixed-route service
- Bus routes are generally on schedule today as grading continues.
- Watch for service alerts on the Transit app or our Service Alerts page. Pin the routes you use often in the Transit app to receive service alert push notifications.
- Dress for the weather and keep pathways clear and safe.
- Several routes have detours around streets that are blown in and where there's a high risk of a bus getting stuck.
- Bus operators are directed to stop in the traffic lane to avoid getting stuck by pulling into the bus stop.
- The Transit Customer Service Centre is open for walk-in customers; however, customers are asked to call 306-975-3100 if their trip to the Customer Service Centre is not essential.
- City and contractor snow crews follow a priority street snow grading plan that addresses all streets systematically.

Access Transit service
- Clear pathways and walkways from the roadway to your property. For the safety of staff and our customers, Access Transit will not provide service if the access to your property is covered in snow and ice.
- Roads and parking lots with significant snow accumulation will not be provided service until safe to do so. Our operators are working to avoid unnecessary risks of buses becoming stuck.
- Dress for the weather. The conditions on the roadway are creating delays and the potential for stuck buses, please be prepared to be on the bus for longer than anticipated.
- We appreciate your patience. Some locations may still be inaccessible, but we are committed to reaching your location as soon as it is safe to do so.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Our frontline employees are doing their best to navigate traffic and customer concerns.
