Emergency Alert on Bus

If you see a bus pulled over or driving with a headsign message that reads "Emergency" "Call Police" or "Call 911", you should immediately dial 9-1-1 to notify Saskatoon Police Service with the location. They will take this seriously and dispatch officers and work with Saskatoon Transit to determine the details.

Operators have direct radio contact with emergency service agencies and Saskatoon Transit supervisors and dispatchers for reporting incidents. If they don't want someone on the bus to know an alarm is activated, they can use this "covert" alarm. It notifies the Supervisor group and displays emergency messages on the outside message screens.

Do not attempt to board the bus or draw attention to bus for everyone's safety.
