Avenue C closed at Circle Drive due to traffic signal outage, Circle Drive turning lanes closed in the area

Drivers on Circle Drive should expect continued delays approaching Avenue C while City crews undertake an extensive repair to the electronic system that operates the traffic signals.

Traffic restrictions at the intersection were altered at 10 a.m.:

• Circle Drive eastbound and westbound centre lanes are moving through the intersection with no signals or stop signs; median lanes and left turn bays are closed to accommodate construction.
• Avenue C southbound is detoured at Cynthia Street.
• Avenue C northbound is detoured to Idylwyld Drive; access to local businesses south of Circle Drive is open.
• The pedestrian crossing at the intersection is closed.

Please follow all signs and detours in place and slow down when passing workers. Avoid the area if you can.

Saskatoon Transit route 11 is affected by these detours. Real-time bus information is available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.           

Crews are working as quickly as possible to restore the signals; however, it may take several days.
